Abstract. Nasri, Harahap U, Silalahi J, Satria D. 2021. Antibacterial activity of lactic acid bacteria isolated from Dengke Naniura Carp (Cyprinus carpio) against diarrhea-causing pathogenic bacteria. Biodiversitas 22: 3098-3104. Diarrhea is the discharge liquid or watery stools 3 to 4 times a day caused by bacterial infection. Treatments for diarrhea are probiotics, which have beneficial effect on health host such as antibacterial. Traditional Batak Toba fermented food, Naniura, source probiotics. This study aimed determine minimum inhibitory concentration, bactericidal and leakage DNA protein pathogens. Isolation LAB was obtained pour plate method deMann Rogosa Sharpe Agar + CaCO3 1%. In this study, Characterization analysis sequencing used Polymerase Chain Reaction. Determination MIC agar diffusion method. The MBC test streaking stroke inhibition zone formed. measured using spectrophotometry UV-VIS (260nm 280nm). isolation results were Lactobacillus fermentum, characterization showed that Gram-positive, bacilli, non-sporing, catalase-negative, able ferment sugar. determination at concentration 10%v/v with clear diameter. pathogens different concentrations. an increased absorption

متن کاملA Study on the Antibacterial Activity of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from Traditional Iranian Milk Samples
198 Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated from Iranian milk samples. Almost all isolatedLAB showed inhibitory activity towards E. coli and S. aureus as Gram negative and Grampositive indicators, respectively. No role was observed for hydrogen peroxide in the activity ofall isolated strains while organic acids proved a prominent role in all detected inhibitoryactivities. Within isolated LAB, ...
متن کاملScreening of antibacterial activity of lactic acid bacteria isolated from fermented vegetables against food borne pathogens
This study aims to screen the antibacterial activity of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from home-made fermented vegetables against common food borne pathogens. The antagonistic properties of these isolates against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Yersinia enterocolitica and Bacillus cereus were examined using agar well diffusion method. Four LAB namely MF6, MF10, MF13, and MF15 ide...

متن کاملAntifungal Activity of Lactic Acid Bacteria Strains Isolated from Natural Honey against Pathogenic Candida Species
The role of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in honey as antifungal activity has received little attention and their mechanism of inhibitory of fungi is not fully understood. In this study, LAB were isolated from honey samples from Malaysia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. Twenty-five isolates were confirmed LAB by catalase test and Gram staining, and were screened for antifungal activity. Four LAB s...
